Summary of Events - February to September 2007

- September 25, 2007: Dropped off six copies of our profile to the Bethany office. Aimee said she really liked it and that they have a few birthmothers who were getting ready to look at profiles!

- September 21, 2007: Our web profile is up! http://www.bethany.org/A55798/bethanyWWW.nsf/0/6CA3B1FDE0498CFD8525735C007038BB

- September 12, 2007: Our letter was received (a few days earlier) and we submitted our shorthand profile to Bethany.

- September 7, 2007: Aimee told us that our homestudy is finished and that we should be receiving our approval letter soon!

- August 24, 2007: We had our second homestudy meeting with Aimee at our house. We cleaned and prepared the entire week, to have her sit in our house and talk with each of us...and barely look around the house!

- August 11, 2007: Attended our first adoption training session

- August 10, 2007: We received an email from Aimee, telling us "I also have some good news. We had a family drop out of our program opening up a spot in our waiting program, so we will proceed with that program! You and Lou will be able to enter our actual full service program. There will be no more "waiting" to get in." and had our first of two homestudy meetings with Aimee in the Bethany office.

- August 1, 2007: We received an email from Aimee, telling us "You guys are actually the next in line. Once we have another Caucasian baby placed with a childless couple you will be able to enter our full service program."

- July 10, 2007 (or around there): Submitted our huge pack of paperwork to Bethany.

- June 15, 2007 (or so): Application was submitted to Bethany.

- April 5, 2007: We moved up to #7 on the waiting list!

- March 21, 2007: Submitted our pre-application to Bethany to become #8 of 10 on the waiting list.

- February 26, 2007: Attended an informational meeting for Bethany Christian Services, where we learned that their Domestic Caucasian Infant program is full, as well as their waiting list. We were looking for an obviously open or closed door, but got neither. We decided to wait and see what God had in store for us...
